Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar - Bartender Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet customers and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout their experience.
Verify identification and age requirements of customers
Mix traditional and creative cocktails
Accurately take food and beverage orders, correctly using the TOAST operating system.
Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Take special note of food allergies or preferences and be able to communicate that clearly to kitchen staff.
Respond quickly to issues customers have, getting management involved if necessary.
Collect payment from customers accurately and honestly.
Maintain opening & closing duties and cleaning schedules.
Manages the ticket well for Server drink orders and fulfills orders in a timely manner.
Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
Constantly maintaining cleanliness of bar and washing glassware.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Maintain a working knowledge of all liquor and beer options that the restaurant offers.
Understand and communicate what’s on the menu, answering questions customers might have, and making recommendations on menu selections to customers if necessary.
Check in with customers to make sure everything is going well with their meal, being attentive, and responding to additional requests as needed.
Most importantly, providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions of Position:

Communicate well with coworkers and customers and always maintain personable and professional communication. This includes being able to listen and collaborate where applicable.
Maintain a positive attitude, even under pressure. Patience with customers and coworkers is a must, particularly during busy rushes.
Good at communication and conflict resolution.
Able to work in high-stress environments where they must maintain a fast pace on a daily basis.

Ability to provide TOP-NOTCH customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Maintains integrity & high-quality work while unsupervised.
Able to handle money accurately and operate our point-of-sale system (Toast).
Have tremendous energy and enthusiasm when you work, but always stay in control and remain professional.
Always speak with a professional tone and use proper vocabulary.
Know your stuff: menu, local attractions, directions, etc.…

Job Setting/Working Conditions:

Be able to stand on their feet for hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds of weight.
Be willing to work flexible hours that may include weekends and holidays.
Can deal effectively with different types of personalities.
Moves quickly and productively in a fast paced and often hectic environment.

Judgement & Decision Making:

Continually demonstrate good judgment and quality workmanship.

Compensation: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
